Welcome Back to School!
Happy faces lined up at the door of the classroom on Tuesday morning. The room buzzed with excited chatter as children shared with each other the exciting adventures and happy family times they experienced during the break. By lunchtime we were back into our daily routine and eagerly writing in our journals.

This has been a busy and lively first week back at school. We have been writing in brand new journals, enjoying wonderful stories, wondering why all the insects have suddenly disappeared, talking excitedly about Halloween, and looking so much older than when school started in August.

On Wednesday our crew celebrated Savanna's birthday (she turned six during the break) with delicious slices of fresh pear and special chips.

Savanna was so proud to carry the globe around six times!

On Monday morning we will have a Halloween Parade soon after the children get to school.
It is easiest if children come to school already wearing costumes. After the parade our children will enjoy their special snack and then costumes will be taken off and put away (please send a large bag for the costume). I will take plenty of pictures and post them on this blog.

You are welcome to come into the classroom at the start of school to enjoy the children's excitement and spend some time with us.

Happy Weekend!
Kathy
