Last Two Weeks of School

Hi Families,
Life is busy and exciting here at school. Children are busy reading, creating, writing, being mathematicians, and now we have our conferences and our Kindergarten Evening. Even more exciting to young children is the fact that Xmas is everywhere: outside houses (lights), inside stores, on t.v. They know that Xmas will be here soon and that is sooooo exciting. I am also doing reports which will be available to you at the end of school or soon after.
Soooo I am so sorry that I have neglected the blog lately! There is so much to do and not enough time to do it. But today I remembered to stop and take photos to give you a little peek into our room.

Ashlyn is busy composing a story about her life.

Writers sharing their writing with each other.

Caleb, Van, and Luke chose to write in comfortable spaces.

Mira and Savanna chose to read during inside recess.

Olivia and Kayleigh were reading together during recess.

Roy and Matt busy reading during recess.

Ashlyn and Reese creating during recess.

We are excited to share our learning with you this Thursday evening. The children have been counting down the days. The evening will last from 6 p.m. until approximately 7 p.m.

Se sure to check all the attachments you are receiving when you get the school news on Thursday or Friday. There is a lot to know about right now.

Next Friday children come to school. It is a regular day. We would like to make it special so children can choose to come in pajamas that day (optional). We will have craft activities and hot chocolate in the afternoon during the last hour of the day. Amy Bass will be contacting you about the last day.
Please do not send treats, extra food etc. The children will love the hot chocolate. If your child is unable to drink it for any allergy reason etc. please let me know so we can find a tasty alternative drink.

I look forward to sharing our learning with you on Thursday!
Kathy
